The full mobility spectrum: Getting your patient from in bed to walking out the door

Our featured guest speaker, Robert Masterman, MSPT, CSPHC, discusss utilizing safe patient handling programming to improve the patient’s rehabilitation journey from hospital bed to home. In this session the participant will learn about improving consistency in the delivery of patient treatment plans, how to get the most out of safe patient handling devices and how to create a multimodal approach to getting patients out of bed sooner.

Objectives:

• Improve communication and empowerment to mobilize among members of the interdisciplinary team, including patients and their families
• Incorporate SPHM technology to mobilize patients safely and successfully
• Encourage mobility behaviors that promote health and wellness during hospitalization that can transfer upon return to the home environment
